Led by senior research directors, from fieldwork to recommendation — ethnography, focus groups, semiotics or clinic testing: we build the method that best answers your question.

— Our methods

The method follows
the question.

01

One-to-one interviews & ethnography

In-depth interviews and immersion in everyday life.

We conduct one-to-one interviews, to make room for free and unhurried speech, and ethnographic immersions at home or in situations of use, to observe gestures, habits and living context. The design follows the subject: a face-to-face conversation, a visit to users, a period spent alongside them.

You reach the deeper motivations and the living context that explain behaviour.

02

Focus groups & creative workshops

Bringing the right people together and letting confrontation and exchange surface what is really at stake.

We design these formats to measure — from the classic group, to prompt reaction and debate, to the creative workshop that puts consumers to work: projective techniques, co-creation, ideation. Each stage of a project has its formula: exploring a territory, choosing between routes, bringing new concepts out.

Depending on your needs, the output ranges from mapping the broad trends to concrete directions for your design teams.

03

Online research

Communities, interviews and groups, run remotely.

We run our full qualitative repertoire at a distance: online communities, interviews and focus groups over video, discussion platforms and diaries. The format follows your objective — tracking an experience before and after a product, bringing participants back, reaching dispersed audiences.

Material that keeps pace with your consumers' real lives.

04

Clinic testing

Placing your product against the competition, with many consumers gathered over a short period.

That is the whole logic of the clinic: gathering the right audiences in one place, having them discover and compare several products side by side, and collecting comparable reactions within a controlled setting. The format supports every stage of a project — from early concept testing to styling and design testing, through to price testing. Product clinics, car clinics, comparative trials and competitive benchmarking, in a venue or in virtual reality: we design the study, run it and draw the analysis. We also advise on its architecture — profiles, running order, measurement points — so that it fully serves your decision.

A clear reading of where your product stands, at every stage.

05

Concept & price testing

Concept testing

Exploring an idea very early, before it takes shape.

We assess how a concept is received — product, service, offer — to understand what appeals, what catches and what needs to change. In interviews or focus groups, as close as possible to the intended audiences.

You move forward with a clarified concept and clear directions.

Offer & price positioning

Understanding the perceived value of an offer in order to position it.

We explore what gives a product or an offer its value in the eyes of its audiences: what justifies its price, what weakens it, what would make the offer more desirable. A qualitative reading, in interviews or focus groups, of the drivers of perceived value.

You adjust your offer and your price positioning to what customers actually expect.

06

Advertising & brand testing

What a campaign actually says to the people who receive it.

We assess how a piece of communication is received — film, campaign, message — or a brand platform: comprehension, appeal, drivers of adherence, consistency with the identity. Most often in focus groups or interviews, before or after airing.

You tune your message and your brand territory to what each audience expects.

07

Semiotics & code analysis

Decoding the signs, symbols and implicit messages of a brand, a pack or a piece of communication.

Our experts analyse the visual and semantic codes of a world: what a design, an image or a discourse gives to be understood, their structure and their meanings. An approach that stands alone or complements a field study.

You identify a category's codes, the territories of expression available, and how your brand is actually read.

08

U&A & exploratory research

Mapping a market, understanding real usage and spotting the territories of opportunity.

We run usage and attitude studies (U&A) to portray the behaviours, motivations and expectations of a market, and exploratory studies to open the field upstream: detecting trends, surfacing insights, marking out ground that is still unclear. Interviews, immersion and cross-cutting analysis combine according to the objective.

You get a clear view of the landscape before acting: who the audiences are, how they live the category, where the levers sit.

— The integration workshop

A study is only worth
as much as its use.

We run collaborative workshops with your teams so they take ownership of the results, test them against their own challenges, and turn them into concrete decisions and roadmaps.
